Did you know —
how much sugar is in some pet food?

  • That’s right, sugar.

There can be as much as 25% sugar (sucrose, caramel or corn syrup) in semi-moist dog food.

It’s used to help keep the food moist.

Did you know —
that dogs can become addicted to sugar?
  • We’re now seeing record numbers of dogs who are developing diabetes.

Sugar can cause hypoglycemia, obesity, nervousness, cataracts, tooth decay, arthritis and allergies.

It also drains vitamins and minerals from the body.

Did you know —
that cat foods can contain propylene glycol?

  • Why? It seems cats aren’t as attracted to sweets as dogs are, so some manufacturers use about 10% propylene glycol instead.

This is the same chemical that’s used in antifreeze, oil and waxes. It’s caused unexplained irregularities in the red blood cells of cats.

For dogs it can cause skin problems, hair loss, dull coats, diarrhea, overweight and even death.

Cats can become addicted to food that contains this preservative.

Did you know —
about preservatives in some pet foods?

  • Take ethoxyquin for example: developed by a company to be used as a rubber hardener, it's also used as a herbicide and insecticide for apples and pears.

Although the Federal Drug Administration (USA) and some of the large pet food companies say that Ethoxyquin is safe for pet food, others disagree, blaming this preservative on chronic maladies that have been affecting purebred dogs at alarming frequency.

There has been a severe increase in immune related diseases among pets, directly related to pet foods preserved with Ethoxyquin.

Other problems that are arising are itchy skin, lethargy, hair loss, thyroid problems, reproductive disorders, birth defects and cancer.

Did you know —
O&M™ doesn't use artificial preservatives?

  • O&M™ products are preserved naturally with vitamins C & E, and nothing else.

Whereas other companies use these preservatives to stop the fat from going rancid, to give a longer shelf life, and to cut down on costs, O&M™ does not.

Did you know —
what chelation is?

  • It’s the process of surrounding a mineral (which would normally be rejected by the body), with natural amino acids.

This encourages the semi-permeable membranes to pass the vital minerals to the bloodstream.

Did you know —
what chelated minerals are?

  • They’re the minerals that have been surrounded by, and attached to, amino acids.

Minerals alone will not be absorbed through the body’s semi-permeable membranes.

Thus, alone, a mineral—essential for the body to obtain maximum nutritional benefit—would be rejected.

For example; any elderly needing iron, taking iron supplement alone is of little benefit, whereas chelated iron allows the body to absorb, and benefit from, the presence of iron.

Did you know —
what probiotics are?

  • They’re the very opposite of anti-biotics.
They encourage the body's production of its own essential friendly bacteria.

This friendly bacteria will occupy vacant ‘parking spaces’ or receptors in the body’s tracts. In so doing, alien bacteria has no place to cling and will be passed through the body without causing harm.

Due to the fact that O&M™ foods have an extremely heavy meat content when compared to store brands, you must transition to the O&M food.

Feed 10% of O&M™ and 90% of old food the first day and then increase 10% a day until 100% is reached.

Watch your animal for weight and adjust feeding to maintain proper weight.
